Empowering Adolescent Girls Across India
Muniya Foundation is a girl-focused NGO working to dismantle the barriers to a girl's well-being and education. Named after the Muniya bird — a small, vibrant songbird that symbolises resilience and beauty — we believe every adolescent girl deserves the freedom to pursue her dreams. Through health, wellness, mentorship and community, we help girls grow into their full potential.
Our Focus Areas
We work across five connected programmes — Sahaja (education and child development), Kutumb (women and family empowerment), Prakriti (health, hygiene and environment), Sambhavana (youth, skills and volunteer engagement), and Parijaat (compassion and humanitarian support). Together they support the whole community: children, women, youth and families.
Education & Child Development
Through Sahaja we run learning support centres, remedial classes and school readiness programmes for children from underserved communities — building strong educational foundations alongside creativity, confidence and life skills.
Health, Hygiene & Environment
Prakriti brings medical and dental camps, menstrual hygiene awareness, nutrition sessions and sanitation drives to the communities we serve, alongside tree plantation and environmental awareness campaigns for a cleaner, greener tomorrow.
Empowerment & Opportunity
Kutumb helps women become economically independent through tailoring, beauty and wellness training, financial literacy and entrepreneurship guidance, while Sambhavana opens vocational skills, leadership programmes, internships and volunteering to young changemakers.
